get involved > contributions | volunteer opportunitiesVolunteer OpportunitiesDo you want to work on the front lines of improving our community, one family at a time? There are a number of volunteer opportunities available at Family Service of Greater New Orleans for those with the initiative.
Volunteers work year-round to prepare for our annual Ten Outstanding Persons Gala, which recognizes individuals who have made a significant difference in our community through their volunteer and philanthropic efforts. Opportunities abound for those with skills in coordinating a formal event, securing sponsorships, marketing and promotions, menu planning, interior design, public relations and the like. Proceeds from the event directly benefit Family Service community programs.
In December, elves flock to Family Service to assist with our Holiday Bureau, which matches families in need with sponsors that foster the spirit of generosity. Volunteers are needed to shop, wrap gifts and aid in coordinating this event.
